This issue features the return of Beauregarde, The grumpy bunny from issue#37: "Barnaby and Beauregarde" as well as the Mole-Men characters who were last seen in issue#10: "Barnaby and Loaker VS The Mole-Men". It also has Bancroft, Who was last seen in his superhero costume during issue#38: "Super-Gremlin and the Bald Wonder".
The title is a direct reference to the last Mole-Men strip. The Mole-Men were initially inspired by Marvel Comic's Fantastic Four supervillain The Mole Man.
Barnaby continues to refer to Beauregarde as "Snowy" and Beauregarde continues to call Barnaby "that weird kid with the fangs".
